Form P60 to employees by 31 May 2016
Employees should be given form P60 by 31 May 2016. This is a summary of earnings for the income tax year ended 5 April 2016, and employees may need this form to apply for a mortgage or a student loan for their children, so it is a valuable and essential form which they should keep.
Companies with a 31 August 2015 year end
Small private companies with a year end of 31 August 2015 and into their second or later year of existence should submit their accounts to Companies House by 31 May 2016 in order to avoid a Late Filing Penalty.
Student Loan Application by May 27th 2016
If you will be a new student in the autumn, then your application for a student loan needs to be made by May 26th 2016. If you miss this deadline then your payments may be delayed.
Employer Payment Summary by 19 May 2016
Sometimes when you are an employer, you might have happened to have made no wage or salary payments at all for a PAYE month such as the month from 6 April to 5 May 2016, in which case you must submit electronically an Employer Payment Summary as a NIL return by 19 May. This is too easy to overlook.
