On this page we have three videos showing our spreadsheet-based bookkeeping system in action, to give you an idea of how it is designed to make it easy to enter and process transactions. Here is a video showing takings being entered on to the cash page: Points to note are that on the first row, all that was actually typed was 1, t, 231.06 and the button VAT at 20.0% was clicked. The software did the rest. On the fifth row, the VAT amount needed to be reduced by a penny by clicking on VAT – 1p. Please try running the video again to see this. Here is a video showing the bank page being completed: Again all that was actually typed on the first row was 2, pu, 200.45 and the VAT at 20.0% button was clicked. The software did the rest. On the third row, the VAT at 5% button was clicked. Many descriptions are completed by the software. Note that it is only possible to move the cursor onto cells where data can be entered. The running totals are protected and appear automatically. Please run the video again to see all this. These videos have shown transactions being entered by the row, which is the easier method. The spreadsheet has also been designed to work efficiently when transactions are entered by the column, for example from a paper bank statement, and columnar working is likely to be quicker. Click here to see videos of transactions entered by the column. Finally we have a video showing how the paper system or spreadsheet system is processed by us: HOME BOOKKEEPING TOP OF PAGE ABOUT US CONTACT US
